A Day in the Life of a Utility Worker / General Laborer

As a Utility Worker / General Laborer, you help keep our operations running smoothly by moving raw materials and finished products, maintaining cleanliness, and performing general labor tasks. Responsibilities include washing plant equipment and surrounding areas with high-pressure hoses, painting, and maintaining equipment and fixtures. You will drive a company vehicle around the plant and property, and load/unload trailers at the dock, reporting on raw material and truck conditions. This role requires staying active and taking pride in your work.

This is a night shift position.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to use hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws)
• Ability to handle up to 50 lbs

Preferred qualifications include manufacturing, production, industrial, or agricultural experience and a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement. Candidates should follow written and verbal instructions, including Darling's Life-Saving Rules, and demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Work Schedule

This full-time, entry-level position is primarily day shift, with some holidays and weekend shifts.
