Job summary

Transdev in San Diego, CA is seeking a Utility Worker to help keep our fleet clean and serviced. You will drive, fuel, perform light maintenance, and log fluids with a focus on safety and customer service.

This full-time role offers paid CDL training, a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, holidays, and a 60-day medical/dental/vision plan. A valid driver’s license (3+ years) and DOT compliance are required.

Qualifications

  • Customer service oriented professional who is dedicated to safety.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and to follow safety guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
  • DOT drug testing and physical may apply; DOT Reg 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits Schedule I drugs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior.
  • Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles.
  • Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluids.
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas and fueling stations.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Other duties as required.

Utility Worker

Transdev in San Diego, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

  • $24.50/hour

  • Full-time paid training to obtain a CDL

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
  • Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
