Job summary

RATP Dev USA in North Charleston, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Utility Worker to support onsite fleet operations and ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC standards. You will maintain cleanliness, document mileage, and assist with daily duties to keep the fleet in top condition.

The role requires a valid SC Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsement, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Evening shifts and competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and wash interior and exterior of vehicles.
• Report end-of-day mileage for all vehicles.
• Detail a specified number of vehicles per month.
• Check and maintain fluids: oil, DEF, coolant, washer fluid.
• Close and lock office and shop at end of day.
• Maintain safety equipment and keep fleet areas clean and organized.
• Document fleet damage and communicate with supervisor.
• Move vehicles safely between job sites and work areas.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking and safety-conscious individual to support our onsite operations as a Utility Worker. The role of out Utility Workers is of great responsibility as they are tasked with ensuring that our fleet complies with Federal and State OSHA and CDC standards. Additionally, our utility workers ensure that our fleet always looks its best. You represent our company to the community, and your attention to detail and care for the fleet is vital.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Washing the interior and exterior of each vehicle
• Responsible for reporting end-of-day mileage for all vehicles.
• Detail an agreed-upon number of vehicles per month.
• Check and maintain all system fluids levels with oil, DEF, coolant, and washer fluid.
• Closing/locking the office and shop EOD
• Ensure vehicle emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, bodily-fluid kit, first aid kit, fully stocked and functional
• Maintain detailed record keeping of services performed.
• Inspect and document fleet damage and communicate to the manager/supervisor
• Maintain a safe, clean, teamwork area
• Assist with others as requested
• Move vehicles safely between job and work area
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Must have a valid South Carolina Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsement
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two (2) years of experience related to the job tasks or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to complete and pass pre-employment background investigation, drug test and DOT physical
• Must have general knowledge of fuels and lubricants vehicle and fuel safety.
• Must be able to lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, or crawl.

Shifts: 5:00pm-1:30am

Starting Pay: $22.27/hourly
