A leading energy company is seeking a Utility position responsible for cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the plant. Starting Pay: $30.72 per hour
The Utility position is primarily responsible for cleaning throughout the plant and scrubber vessels. This involves removing ash and coal dust accumulation and scale deposits using high-pressure water blasting equipment. The role requires working in hot, dusty, and sometimes humid confined spaces. Much of the work is at elevated locations, accessed via scaffolding or equipment surfaces using safety harnesses and fall protection systems. Utility personnel may assist mechanics with routine maintenance and major overhauls of plant equipment. Additional duties include clean-up, painting, weed cutting, and other assigned tasks. Utility personnel operate hydraulic loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, and other mobile equipment, as well as using a variety of hand tools and equipment throughout the plant.
