Job summary

Hawaiian Host Group is seeking a motivated worker to support production and packaging on our candy lines in Hawaii. Under the direction of Production Managers, you will load ingredients, handle cartons, and help maintain a clean, safe work floor.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English reading ability, and the stamina to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential. Experience in a food-manufacturing environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• TB certificate from a valid medical provider required by Hawaii DoH.

Responsibilities

• Load chocolate or ingredients into production tanks.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, performs work for production and packaging lines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manages the loading of chocolate into tanks for production use.
• Forms and loads shipping cartons; manually stacks and moves cased products.
• Provides logistical support for all production and packaging activities.
• Weighs, loads, mixes, and cooks ingredients to prepare candy and related products.
• Stacks and pallets products to finish-packaging line.
• Understands and works safely with heavy equipment, including but not limited to various pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts.
• Collaborates with other employees to ensure smooth production with no interruptions in the supply of needed items throughout the day.
• Cleans factory areas and provides janitorial and maintenance support as needed.
• Assists with off-season cleaning.
• Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Regular attendance is required for the position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training is required.
• Must provide Tuberculosis (TB) certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
• Strong ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to understand and follow directions accurately.
• Ability to reach, grasp, and handle tasks at a machine-paced level of activity.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English at a high school level.

PAY

$17 - $19 an hour
