Shift starts at 6:00 AM

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, engages in a variety of candy‑making processes, production tasks, and packaging operations throughout the plant. This includes operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

  • Pick up a specified number of candy rows from a moving conveyor belt and places them upright into various‑sized trays, add inserts, and cover the boxes of candy.
  • Uniformly select and place nuts on a specified number of chocolate rows on a moving conveyor belt, ensuring the chocolate coating meets quality standards.
  • Inspect and sort roasted nuts by color from a moving conveyor belt.
  • Hand‑scoop candy from a moving conveyor belt, pack and weigh cartons, stack and load cartons for transport to the packaging line, inspect machine‑wrapped cartons, and mark and stack boxes for storage.
  • Accurately weigh cartons to meet required weight limits for packaging.
  • Load trays, lids, and unformed boxes and pads into machines, inspect machine‑made cartons, mark and stack boxes for storage, clear jams, reset machines, and monitor the flow of formed boxes.
  • Clean the production line and surrounding area after each shift.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks during the off‑season.
  • The job requires availability for weekend work and flexibility to adapt to shift changes as determined by the business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all duties and maintain standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training is required.
  • Must provide Tuberculosis (TB) certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
  • Strong ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Proficient in reaching, grasping, and handling tasks at a machine‑paced level of activity.
  • Competent in reading instructions in English at a high school level.
  • Availability for weekend shifts and flexible scheduling as needed.
