Job description

We are seeking a production worker for candy making, nut processing, and packaging.

Shift starts at 4:00 AM.

Responsibilities
  • Load and operate chocolate, nut roasting, nut handling, inspection, box forming, and finish-packaging machinery.
  • Perform and monitor startup and shutdown procedures of machinery.
  • Adjust machinery/equipment for different products as needed.
  • Monitor deviations in the machinery and/or equipment and adjust accordingly.
  • Perform as production crew for various production lines such as packing and box forming; provide material handling and logistical support for all production and packaging activities.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Clean up machinery after shift and provide repair and maintenance support as needed.
  • Assist with off-season cleaning.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience/training.
  • TB certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Dept. of Health.
  • One (1) year experience in a production operation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to read manuals and instructions for machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, and handle at a machine‑paced level of activity.
  • Ability to read instructions in English at a high school level.

  • Occasional: Squatting; stooping; crouching; kneeling; and stair climbing.
  • Frequent: Pushing; pulling; standing; walking; sitting; climbing; bending; forward reaching; twisting; side bending; overhead reach; grasping; use of hands, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Both: Ability to lift 50 lbs.; push and pull 100 lbs.; and talk or hear.
  • Constant: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally in an office environment, production floor or warehouse and not exposed to weather conditions.
  2. The noise level in the work environment is usually light; sometimes moderate in some of the production areas.
