Job description

Job Summary

The Utility Worker is responsible for loading and unloading raw materials and finished products, as well as maintaining cleanliness of the plant and equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

This job description does not restrict management's right to assign or reassign duties at any time.

1. Use high-pressure hoses to wash parking lots, plant equipment, and surrounding areas, including spilled material.
2. Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as needed.
3. Use standard hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws, etc.).
4. Operate company vehicles around the plant and property.
5. Ensure a steady flow of raw materials from trailers to the dock safely and efficiently.
6. Check and report the condition of raw material loads and truck interiors.
7. Perform general labor tasks, including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
8. Prioritize safety in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural settings is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• A CDL "B" license with tanker endorsement is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Must often push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Work will be carried out in a facility that requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
