Job summary

Viewpoint School in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Utility Worker to provide hands-on support for the Utility/Custodial Department. The role runs 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and involves event setup/breakdown, moving furniture, basic custodial work, and light maintenance.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading stock, organizing supplies, and participating in safety trainings. Must have a valid driver’s license and prior customer service experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in a customer service setting, with the ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with parents, faculty, staff and administration
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assist team with event/meeting set ups and breakdowns
• Assist in moving tables, chairs, canopies, classroom/office furniture as needed
• Conduct basic custodial work during down periods, such as trash and recycling clean up, spot cleaning of exterior walkways, trash pick-up, etc.
• Provide general labor as needed/requested
• Assist with loading and unloading stock items
• Assist in supply chain organization
• Participate in OSHA and “Right to Know” training
• Light maintenance such as touch up painting, replacing ceiling tiles, changing out clocks
• Other tasks as assigned

Viewpoint School is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker provides hands on support with the Utility/Custodial Department. Assists with moving items, loading and unloading and with the set-up and breakdowns of events/meetings. Hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to frequently climb stairs, uneven terrain and hillside pathways. (Reasonable accommodations that do not cause an undue hardship on Viewpoint may be available)Ability to work outdoors under year-round climate.
• Position may require weekend and evening work

• Time management skills

Compensation: $22 per hour
