Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Marathon, FL, is seeking a dynamic utility tree trimmer to join our outdoor team. You’ll work on pruning, removal and line-clearance projects for major electric utilities, using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.

You'll operate tools safely, collaborate with a crew and foreperson, and grow your career with extensive training, safety programs, and benefits. Your workplace is outdoors with diverse daily scenes and opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Prune treetops and remove or trim damaged trees for major electric utilities.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and foreperson.
• Growth potential depends on performance.
