Job summary

Wolf Tree, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a skilled Tree Trimmer/Climber to service major electric utilities in Johnson City, TN. You’ll work on pruning and removal, use DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems, and operate chainsaws, chippers, and lifts.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide and related licenses/certificates, if required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal work for major electric utilities, safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees or limbs as needed.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other structures.
• Identify trees using industry guidelines and apply pruning standards.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.
