HDR is seeking a Summer 2027 Utility Transportation Intern within the Transportation Business Group. You will participate in real-world projects, gain MicroStation and analytical experience, and engage with mentors and company leaders across disciplines.

This internship emphasizes HDR’s employee-owned, inclusive culture. Preferred qualifications include pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years completed and a 3.0 GPA, plus familiarity with software packages used in the field.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Pursuing Civil Engineering with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Familiar with software packages used in the field/industry.

Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Gain real-world MicroStation and analytical experience.
• Have opportunities for on-site construction field visits.
• Meet with Utility company representatives, engineering consulting teams, and clients to form solutions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
