HDR invites students to join our Summer 2027 internship in the Transportation Business Group, focusing on Utility Transportation. This paid internship offers real-world project experience and mentorship within an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Gain real-world MicroStation and analytical experience
• Have opportunities for on-site construction field visits
• Meet with Utility company representatives, engineering consulting teams, and clients to form solutions
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing aCivil Engineering Degree during Summer 2027.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
