Job summary

Haleon in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Utilities Technician to maintain and repair core facilities equipment used to manufacture and package pharmaceutical products.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, document activities and ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs and safety requirements, while working the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 10:00pm–6:30am). This role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months facilities/utilities maintenance experience.
• 3 years Facilities/Utilities maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs and SOPs including validation/change control.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in a compliant state with documentation and audit trails.

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment; inspect parts for wear.

About the role

The Utilities Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment in a compliant state, troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and documenting work on core facilities equipment or systems that support the manufacture and packaging of pharmaceutical products.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in compliant state by ensuring that documentation and audit trail is kept intact and required maintenance is performed.
• Responsible for equipment rounds and documentation of critical operating parameters.
• Execute preventative maintenance (PM) instructions based on maintenance schedules.
• Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Repair and replace broken and malfunctioning components.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Operate newly repaired and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Document the work, parts and materials used to comply with SOPs and Quality requirements.
• Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
• Participate in the planning, installation, and improvement of equipment.
• Responsible for writing and performing of technical procedures, change controls, and keeping drawings and schematics up to date.
• Support and meet departmental, plant, and corporate EHS goals.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of Facilities/Utilities equipment maintenance experience (or related experience) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of Facilities/Utilities equipment maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic electrical repairs like sensor replacements, electrical connections, motor wiring and others.
• Demonstrated skill in interpreting and applying specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions in order to perform installation, repair, and modification work.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, email, internet).
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety compliance.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including validation issues and change control processes.

Location

Location – this role is based in: Lincoln, Nebraska. This is not a remote opportunity.

Schedule

Schedule: 3rd shift, Mon-Fri 10:00pm to 6:30am.
