Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Utility Technician based in New Iberia, LA, to support our service center with equipment loading, unloading, and daily yard tasks. You will help ensure accurate inventory, prepare equipment for delivery, and maintain safety standards across the facility.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 0-3 years in a yard or warehouse, with a strong emphasis on customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of experience in a yard or warehouse.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing to work overtime, travel and be on-call.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Based at the New Iberia, LA service center.
• Load and unload equipment with forklifts.
• Prepare and verify counts of rental equipment prior to delivery and arrival.
• Clean and store rental equipment upon return to the service center.
• Keep the jobsite, yard and warehouse clean and safe.
• Drive inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Wash rental equipment.
• Inspect and repair cables.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our New Iberia, LAservice center.
• Load and unload equipment and materials with large and small forklifts.
• Prepare and verify quality/accuracy of counts of rental equipment prior to delivery and arrival
• Clean and put away rental equipment upon return to service center
• Keep the jobsite, yard, and warehouse cleaned and up to safety standards
• Drive inventory accuracy of rental equipment and accessories
• Inventory cycle counts
• Wash rental equipment
• Inspect and repair cable

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• 0-3 years of experience working in a yard or warehouse.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Embraces and promotes safety culture
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality
• Reliable and committed to delivering quality performance
• Able to work overtime, travel and on-call
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
