Job description

Aerobraze Engineered Technologies, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components such as turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

The Utility Technician plays a critical support role across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Planning functions to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant aerospace manufacturing processes. This multi‑functional role involves equipment upkeep, facility support, operational process assistance, technical collaboration with engineering teams, and support of quality control initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly across teams in a fast‑paced, high‑standard aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Facilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and facility infrastructure (5S / lean practices).
Operational Support
  • Assist production operations by setting up and operating equipment, moving materials, and configuring workstations. Maintain cleanliness of production and support areas (5S / lean practices).
Engineering Support
  • Assist engineers with equipment installation, modification, calibration, and process improvements. Collect, document, and report operational data to aid engineering analysis.
Quality Support
  • Support quality assurance activities, including basic inspection of parts and documentation reviews. Help ensure configuration management principles are followed (QMS).
Planning Support
  • Provide daily updates of jobs at each workstation and how many parts are complete and any quality issues preventing movement of parts from one work area to another.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year experience working with equipment and processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with computers, spreadsheets, hand tools, power tools, and cleaning suppliers
