Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly of turbine engines.
• Follow maintenance instructions while documenting measurements, clearances, and steps performed.
• Fit, install, and/or modify close-tolerance blades, nozzles, locking keys, assemblies, and turning gears.
• Prepare turbine parts for installation, including sandblasting and cleaning.
• Inspect engine parts using precision measuring equipment and calculate clearances.
• Set up completed turbines for rotational testing.
• Design and fabricate parts as required.
• Willingness to travel to support off-site maintenance in remote locations.

Job description

The Turbine Engine Technician is responsible for all duties associated with the inspection, repair, replacement, installation, adjustment, removal, and maintenance of turbine engines. This role supports an employer that manufactures turbine engine solutions for industrial and marine applications under licensed turbine technology used in military and commercial platforms.

Responsibilities

• Candidates must be local to Brookshire, TX or willing to relocate.
• Perform the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly of various turbine engine models.
• Follow written maintenance instructions while documenting measurements, clearances, and steps performed.
• Fit, install, and/or modify to close tolerance blades, nozzles, locking keys, assemblies, and turning gears.
• Prepare turbine parts for installation, including sandblasting and cleaning.
• Inspect engine parts using precision measuring equipment and calculate clearances.
• Set up completed turbines for rotational testing.
• Design and fabricate parts, as required.
• Willingness to travel to support off-site maintenance troubleshooting in remote locations.

Desired Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Turboshaft engine or industrial turbine engine maintenance experience highly desired.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience applying mechanical principles in the repair, maintenance, and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Accomplished skills in aviation or industrial trade, with experience on power-generating equipment.
• Experience using precision measurement tools and engine balance equipment.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Ability to understand technical maintenance data and document steps performed.
• Proactive problem solver.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements

Working Conditions

• 40-hour work week; hours may fluctuate depending on workload.
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, coolants, fire hazards, dust, fumes, and high noise levels.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to reach, bend, push, lift, and climb continuously.
