Job summary

A leading small gas turbine component shop in Ohio is seeking dedicated associates for technical positions involving EDM operation, thermal spray, and various machining tasks. Successful candidates will operate specialized equipment, maintain logs, and work collaboratively under the guidance of experienced leads. This role requires a high school diploma or technical degree and the ability to follow instructions, with strong hand-eye coordination and a commitment to quality work. Additional training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or Technical School with experience in various trades.
• Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
• Good hand-eye coordination necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations on plunge and wire EDM and thermal spray equipment.
• Operate standard power tools and maintain records as needed.
• Work under guidance from experienced production Leads.

Aero Propulsion Support Group is comprised of three divisions:

• Aero Propulsion Support, Inc. which repairs and services small gas turbine engines and components.
• Aero Propulsion Support Distribution, LLC. which inventories and distributes small gas turbine engines and components.
• Aero Propulsion Support Manufacturing, LLC. which prototypes OEM parts for the small gas turbine business.
• Potential Tech Positions are EDM (Wire or Plunge) equipment operation, thermal spray operation (Plasma, Twin Arc and Flame) and masking, and furnace (vacuum and atmosphere) operation and light machining, Bench and Assembly and Airflow inspection. Additional training is provided

Essential Functions

• Performs operations on plunge and wire EDM, vacuum/atmosphere furnaces, thermal spray equipment and various other plant machinery and equipment.
• Operates a variety of standard power tools and equipment.
• Maintains records and logs, as needed.
• Guidance and direction will come from experienced production Leads. Performs related duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or Technical School and some experience minimum in a variety of trades or construction work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Excellent work history and attendance record.
