Job summary

The National Park Service, within the U.S. Department of the Interior, seeks a Utility Systems Repairer - Operator to service the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The role covers installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical circuits, HVAC systems, and utility networks to support park operations. Applicants must meet federal requirements, including background checks, Selective Service registration for males, and possession of a Universal EPA Certification-HVAC/Generac

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Direct Deposit participation required.
• May be required to travel overnight.
• You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test circuits, systems and fixtures.
• Install and diagnose HVAC systems including air conditioning with various functions.
• Install, modify and repair utility, supply, and sewage systems and related equipment.
