Job summary

Pilgrim's in Texas seeks a utilities technician to coordinate projects, perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot complex equipment. You will ensure safe operation of energy and utility systems and support ongoing reliability across the facility.

The role includes training and mentoring new technicians, escorting on-site contractors, and applying plant safety standards and regulatory compliance in daily tasks. On-site role in Waco, TX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related industrial operations experience.
• Compliance with safety procedures including Life Saving Rules, Safe Start and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance management processes.
• Understanding of environmental permitting/compliance and related procedures.
• Ability to learn plant operations including processes/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating projects and communicating results of finished projects.
• Performing preventive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and system malfunctions.
• Conducting training and mentoring new utility technicians.
• Monitoring and regulating energy output for the facility.
• Ensuring proper functioning and safety of utility systems (water, gas, electrical grids, telecom).
• Clean, lubricate, adjust and repair machinery and equipment.
• Disassemble machinery to inspect and replace components.
• Study blueprints and manuals for correct installation and operation.
