Position: Utility Steward/Dishwasher (Part Time) - Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience as a steward or dishwasher and be able to work a varied schedule that includes mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Previous hotel and restaurant experience is a plus.

A Utility Steward is responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils as part of our ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure financial profitability.

Hourly Rate: $19.50 - $20.00

What will I be doing?

As a Steward, you will be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils, and performing other tasks to support guest service and hotel operations, including:

• Washing dishes and operating the dishwasher to clean chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils
• Scrubbing pots and pans
• Burnishing, de-tarnishing, and polishing silver
• Stocking and maintaining supplies and equipment
• Performing cleaning duties such as mopping and trash removal
• Transporting and storing clean items
• Training other stewards as needed
• Preparing and setting up clean items for events and functions
