Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Civil Engineer to join our team. You will design civil/site works for utility-scale solar and energy storage, collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Construction, and influence project execution from development through construction.

This role can be based in Katy, TX, Pleasanton, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Bedminster, NJ as needed. Based in Katy, TX or other DEPCOM locations, you will ensure constructability, manage site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience supporting land development and site preparation for large-scale construction projects.
• Experience applying civil design principles in construction environments.
• Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, and erosion control practices.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% for project site visits and field support activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale project civil and site preparation designs.
• Monitor construction phase activities and contractor adherence to plans.
• Coordinate with Engineering disciplines (Project, Structural, Electrical).
• Utilize third-party partners to complete grading, SWPPP, hydrology reports, etc.
• Site visits to assess grading, drainage, and site conditions.
• Report deliverables status to Project Engineering, PM, and Construction.
• Review drainage plans, ALTA/topo, geotechnical reports and provide recommendations.
• Lead meetings related to Civil Engineering and site preparation with stakeholders.
• Address soil stabilization, foundation design, and erosion control on large sites.
• Balance cost, schedule, and quality through value engineering and innovative design.
• Implement lessons learned and contribute to standardized workflows.
