Job summary

Pure Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects of 50 MW and larger. The role offers a hybrid in-office/remote schedule in the Kansas City area with competitive benefits.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD and NEC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software; experience with construction documents is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with NEC, electrical safety concepts, and industry standards, with willingness to continue learning.
• Foundational understanding of electrical circuits and power systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design and engineering of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects under senior engineers.
• Prepare complete construction drawing packages using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with internal project teams and clients, utilities, permitting agencies, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
