Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Project Developer for utility-scale energy infrastructure across North American power markets. You will guide projects from early feasibility through permitting, interconnection, and construction readiness, aligning with ENGIE’s growth strategy.

You will work with land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, engineering, and commercial teams to navigate complex development challenges, engaging stakeholders and managing regulatory processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy or similar projects.
  • Experience in CAISO or other ISO/RTO markets and interconnection processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with risk awareness.
  • Strong relationship building with landowners, communities, utilities, agencies and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project economics and investment decision processes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of utility-scale energy infrastructure from feasibility to construction readiness.
  • Drive land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, interconnection, and commercial structuring.
  • Manage regulatory processes, agency coordination, applications, and public hearings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, communities, utilities, and regulators.
  • Assess project risks and opportunities to inform investment decisions and value creation.
  • Support power marketing, energy offtake, project financing, and related materials.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments and represent ENGIE at events.
