Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Project Developer to advance utility-scale energy infrastructure across North American markets. You will guide projects from site evaluation and feasibility through permitting, interconnection, and construction readiness, coordinating with landowners, utilities, and regulators.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years in developing large-scale energy projects, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy development.
• Experience advancing projects through permitting, interconnection, regulatory review, and construction readiness.
• Experience working within CAISO or other ISO/RTO markets and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, while identifying risks and driving progress.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for broad audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of utility-scale energy infrastructure projects from feasibility through construction readiness.
• Drive land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, interconnection, and commercial structuring workstreams.
• Manage regulatory processes, agency coordination, and public hearings.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, communities, utilities, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Assess project risks and opportunities to support investment decisions and value creation.
• Support power marketing, energy offtake, project financing, and M&A materials.
• Monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments and represent ENGIE at industry events.
