Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Utility Relief for a Sunday-Thursday night shift (11pm–7am). You will relieve coworkers during breaks, assist with sew-on waste, and help keep the finishing area clean and safe.

Training includes PIT operation and safety protocols. Responsibilities include supporting the coater/reshear lines, recording waste, and reporting any safety or quality concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs occasionally.
• Work in an industrial environment with background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift.
• Power Industrial Truck (PIT) training is required.

Responsibilities

• Relieve employees for breaks and fill in for absent workers on Coater and Reshear.
• Assist in keeping the finishing area clean and orderly.
• Report safety and quality concerns to supervision as needed.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for assisting with filling in for absent employees, relieving employees for breaks, and handling sew on waste. I.
