Job summary

Shaw Industries in Dalton, GA is seeking a Utility Relief for a Sunday–Thursday night shift (11pm–7am). The role supports production by covering breaks and assisting with sew-on waste management, ensuring equipment and working areas stay clean and safe.

Responsibilities include weighing sew-on waste, filling in for absent workers on Coater and Reshear, and maintaining orderly department conditions. Training includes PIT operation and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift.
• Valid hyster/lift truck license is required.

Position Objective

Responsible for assisting with filling in for absent employees, relieving employees for breaks, and handling sew on waste.
