Shaw Industries Group Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Utility Relief associate for a Sunday–Thursday, 11pm–7am shift. You will relieve other workers, monitor sew-on waste, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a high-demand plant environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with breaks, weighing waste, and supporting overall production flow while following safety policies and quality standards. OSHA and PIT training are required where applicable.

Position Overview

This position is Sunday- Thursday 11pm-7am.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for assisting with filling in for absent employees, relieving employees for breaks, and handling sew on waste.

I. Essential Duties

• Give breaks in finishing and fill in for absent employees on Coater, Reshear
• Weigh and record sew on waste
• Assist in keeping department in a clean, orderly manner

V. Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, stoop
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs occasionally.
• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift

VI. Other Requirements

• Must be applicable to all JHA’s

• Power Industrial Truck (PIT)

• Use appropriate tools for job depending which operator is being relieved for breaks or absence.
