Job description

EV adoption continues to grow, but our power grid was not built to withstand this level of electricity demand, and charging remains a major challenge for drivers. ChargeScape is a joint venture of some of the world's largest automakers focused on making charging cheaper and simpler for EV drivers. We work with Tesla, Rivian, Stellantis, Ford, Honda, Nissan and BMW, and continue to onboard new automakers onto our platform.

ChargeScape's software platform serves as the connective tissue between EV drivers and power utilities, using cloud-based commands to schedule EV charging for the most grid-friendly, low-carbon hours, all while putting money back in drivers' wallets. Our team combines expertise in energy, transportation, and cutting-edge technology to create impactful solutions for our utility and automotive partners.

Position Overview

The Utility Program Analyst will support the day-to-day operation of ChargeScape's utility programs, sitting at the intersection of program coordination, customer support, incentive tracking, and Excel-based reporting.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving startup environment: the right person is comfortable working independently, managing a high volume of requests, and building practical workarounds when systems or processes are incomplete.

This is not a data science role; the analysis is operational and practical rather than highly technical. EV-specific knowledge is not required and can be taught on the job. The role has a clear growth path toward Account Manager and broader commercial operations responsibilities within 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utility Program Operations: Support the daily administration of utility programs, coordinate recurring program activities and deliverables, and learn the requirements and workflows of each program well enough to route requests to the right internal or external stakeholder.
  • Incentive Tracking & Reporting: Calculate and report utility incentives using EV charging-session data, track outstanding payments, respond to utility and OEM questions on incentive status, and maintain accurate program reporting.
  • Data Analysis: Download, organize, filter, and analyze operational data in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP-style functions; build manual reports or dashboards where internal tools fall short, and proactively flag discrepancies.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Support: Field inquiries from utilities and other program stakeholders, route them to the correct OEM or internal team, track issues through resolution, and write clear, professional, customer-ready updates without heavy oversight.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across product, analytics, operations, and OEM operations teams to support program launches, resolve issues, and meet partner reporting needs and SLAs.
What You Bring

Experience in program coordination, program analysis, operations, or customer support within a B2B environment, along with working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, basic reporting and reconciliation). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings and next steps clearly to customers, utilities, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.

A self-sufficient, proactive working style: someone who raises issues early, builds practical solutions when tools or processes are imperfect, and manages competing priorities without close supervision. Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities, and startup pace. Utility or energy industry experience, exposure to rebate or incentive programs, and familiarity with EV charging or transportation electrification are valuable but not required.

Compensation
  • Total cash compensation range of $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, 401(k), and unlimited PTO.
Why Join ChargeScape?
  • Mission-Driven Work: Help solve one of the biggest bottlenecks in EV adoption, getting charging right for drivers.
  • Real Growth Path: A defined trajectory into Account Management and commercial operations within your first year.
  • High-Impact Exposure: Direct visibility into how utility and OEM partnerships run, working alongside teams that engage senior stakeholders at some of the world's largest automakers.
  • Collaborative Culture: Join a fast-moving, highly-skilled team that values initiative, ownership, and follow-through.
