Golden State Water Company is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage capital projects, budgeting, and month-end close processes. The role supports fixed asset accounting, sub-ledger reconciliation, and data integrity across plant records.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance with 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel and JD Edwards, and strong collaboration and communication skills to work with auditors and multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Five years of accounting experience, preferably in water/utility.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems such as JD Edwards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to research, interpret and summarize data.

Responsabilités

• Sets up work orders and budgets for capital projects and monitors progress.
• Performs monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Maintains fixed asset accounting and related sub-ledgers.
• Assists with regulatory reporting and SEC filings support as needed.
• Collaborates with auditors and internal departments on data requests.
