Job summary

Golden State Water Company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage capital project administration, month-end closes, and related financial reporting. The role supports compliance efforts and helps ensure accurate asset accounting and contract reconciliations.

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least five years in a water/utility environment, with strong Excel and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Five years of accounting experience, with increasing responsibility, in water/utility industry preferred.
• Good communication (oral and written) and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up work orders for capital projects and monitors related budgets.
• Performs monthly close activities and reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
• Supports quarterly financial reporting and regulatory filings.
• Processes contracts refunds and reconciliations for sub-ledgers and related records.
