Job summary

LANTA Transportation in Allentown is seeking an entry-level Utility Personnel to support bus and facility maintenance. You will assist with fueling, washing, and basic servicing of vehicles while helping the Service, Road Personnel or Mechanics as needed.

This role requires night and weekend availability and a willingness to begin a career path toward a mechanic position within LANTA. High school diploma and a CDL (or ability to obtain one) are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position to begin mechanic career path.
• Must obtain CDL license or currently possess CDL.
• Ability to read and understand service and maintenance manuals.
• Follow written and verbal directions; demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Utility Personnel is responsible for cleaning and servicing both buses and facilities. He/she is generally a helper for either Service and Road Personnel or Mechanics.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

The Utility Personnel will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:

• Fueling and washing of vehicles.
• Servicing of buses.
• Service/cleaning of facilities as required.
• Perform other related tasks as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma
• Must be able to obtain a CDL driver's license, or currently possess a current CDL.
• Ability to read and understand service and maintenance manuals
• Follow written and verbal directions
• Demonstrate mechanical ability and aptitude for learning
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
