Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is hiring for a quarry/plant maintenance role. Responsibilities include maintaining strong communication for safe workflow, grounds upkeep, light maintenance, and area cleanup across quarry and plant sites.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in the aggregate industry preferred, and experience operating mobile equipment such as telehandlers or skid steers. Safety and quality are stressed throughout the role.

• Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
• Tasks may include grounds upkeep, shoveling, organization of parts
• Assist in maintenance work and area cleanup, this is honestly the bulk of the work.
• Perform a variety of service, inspection, or labor operations throughout the quarry or plants.
• Occasional operation of small mobile equipment.
• Will perform other duties as may be requested.

What Are We Looking For

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
