Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a plant operator to assist in stone processing operations. The role involves starting and stopping plants, inspecting conveyors, and reporting issues to ensure smooth production.

You will perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment at the facility in Glen Mills, PA. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years in the aggregate industry; experience with haul trucks or skid steers is a plus.

• Assist in start-up and shut-down of plants.
• Inspect, monitor, and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers; identify and report operating issues and oversized stone.
• Perform routine maintenance, including minor repairs, adjustments, inspections, and lubrication of plant equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing general cleanup around the plant and equipment areas.
• Complete additional miscellaneous duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Job description

Assist in the operation of stone processing plants, including start‑up, shut‑down, and overall plant operation.

Inspect, monitor, and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers; identify and report operating issues and oversized stone.

Perform routine maintenance, including minor repairs, adjustments, inspections, and lubrication of plant equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing general cleanup around the plant and equipment areas.

Complete additional miscellaneous duties as assigned to support plant operations.

What Are We Looking For

High school diploma or GED required.

2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus.

Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.

Prior experience operating mobile equipment (haul truck, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus.

Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
