Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking individuals to support quarry and plant operations in a safety-focused role. You will perform production, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks, operating mobile equipment and assisting with material handling across the site.

Applicants should be able to work safely in industrial environments, operate or learn machinery, and communicate well within a team to contribute to reliable, efficient operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support quarry and plant operations by performing a variety of production, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks.
• Safely operate mobile equipment and assist with material handling activities throughout the site.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment or operational issues for timely resolution.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas to promote a safe and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a quarry, mining, construction, industrial, or similar environment.
• Capability to operate or learn to operate mobile equipment and production-related machinery.
• Strong work ethic with the flexibility to perform a variety of operational and maintenance support tasks.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to reliability and accountability.
• Ability to identify potential issues, follow procedures, and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
