Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is hiring for a night-shift general labor role in Indianapolis. You will perform cleaning, shoveling, material handling, and assist with basic machinery maintenance to support plant operations.

The ideal candidate follows safety protocols, works well alone or in a team, communicates effectively, and is capable of performing physically demanding manual labor in varying conditions. Beneficial are reliability and adaptability to changing tasks.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Working a night shift schedule
  • Perform general labor tasks including cleaning, shoveling, and material handling
  • Assist with routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery
  • Operate and maintain equipment to support plant operations
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
