Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking Utility Operators for a growing manufacturing company in Dyersville, IA. The role supports production of animal feed and nutritional supplements, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Training starts on the 1st Shift, with pay during training at $18.00/hour and $18.50/hour after training. Openings include 2nd Shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM) and 3rd Shift (Sun-Thu, 11:30 PM–7:30 AM).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in feed, grain, supplement processing is a plus.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Strong attention to safety.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment used in the manufacturing of animal feed and supplements.
• Monitor production lines to ensure efficient loading, production, and shipment schedules.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Assist with mixing, bagging, spray drying, fluid bed drying, and powered lift equipment operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report issues as needed.
• Support production goals while maintaining quality standards.

Express Employment Professionals is seeking Utility Operators for a growing manufacturing company in Dyersville, IA. These positions play a key role in the production of animal feed and nutritional supplements, helping ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

All employees will begin training on 1st Shift before transitioning to their assigned shift.

Available Openings

• 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday | 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
• 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday | 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM

Training Schedule

• Monday-Friday | 7:25 AM - 4:00 PM
• Pay during training: $18.00/hour
• Pay after training: $18.50/hour

Job Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-55 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Ability to operate a forklift and motor vehicle
• Ability to wear a respirator in designated areas
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and production environments
• Must successfully pass a post-offer physical and drug screen
