Job description

A Day In The Life
  • Operator will be required to set up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment to produce high-quality products. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, thread cutters, thread rollers, drill presses, pedestal grinders, disc grinders, conveyors, staplers, boxers, and other departmental equipment.
  • Processes performed will include, but are not limited to, inspecting, gauging, counting, deburring, grinding, drilling, tapping, painting, boxing, chamfering, thread cutting, and thread rolling.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets, and to use calipers, gauges, etc., satisfactorily. Ability to perform SPC as required is also necessary.
  • Operator may be required to perform visual inspections, separate parts, record production and scrap, keep production records, and perform other operations as needed.
  • Operator will be required to furnish their own hand tools.
  • Operator will be responsible for maintaining machines, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for at least eight hours.
  • Full use of both hands, and the ability to walk, hear, and see.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
  • Ability to lift 90 lbs. from knee level to machine and back to knee level.
  • Note: These physical requirements are general guidelines; work may occasionally exceed these levels.
