Hubbell Incorporated is looking for a Utility Operator for the 1st Shift in Centralia, MO, who will manage and operate various machinery while ensuring product quality through inspection and data recording. The role requires physical endurance and technical skills, contributing to enhanced energy infrastructure solutions in a global company committed to sustainability and inclusivity.
We are seeking a Utility Operator to join our team in Centralia, MO. The operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting various machines and equipment to produce high-quality products. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, thread cutters, thread rollers, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, and other departmental machinery.
The role involves performing processes such as inspecting, gauging, counting, deburring, grinding, drilling, tapping, painting, boxing, chamfering, thread cutting, and thread rolling. The operator must be able to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets, and use tools like calipers and gauges to perform SPC as required.
Additional responsibilities include making visual inspections, separating parts, recording production and scrap data, maintaining production records, and other operational tasks. The operator must provide their own hand tools and ensure that machines, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organized.
Physical requirements include sitting and/or standing for at least eight hours, walking, hearing, seeing, and using both hands fully. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, and 90 lbs. from knee level to machine and back. These requirements are general guidelines and work may occasionally exceed these levels.
