Job description

A Day In The Life

  • The operator will be required to set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce an acceptable quality product.
  • Will receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for the job, and will organize and plan operational duties for their assigned shift.
  • Will be required to set up, operate, program, and troubleshoot robot systems (material handling, drilling, welding) and other robotic equipment in the welding process to achieve acceptable levels of productivity and quality.
  • Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as mandated by Quality Assurance or their supervisor.
  • Continuously visually inspect products, record production data, report/record scrap, and perform rework or other duties as assigned.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure the process remains efficient and welding meets company standards at all times.
  • Manually repair or hand weld products below standard due to tolerance variables during robotic operations.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, handheld grinders, and other departmental equipment as required.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Must be qualified and have successfully held a Certified Welder position or possess equivalent certification from a technical institute.

Operator will be required to pass the AWS Certification Test according to the Company Welding Policy.

Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.

Will be required to perform SPC procedures and tests, interpret findings, and make appropriate process adjustments.

Must be able to navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
