Job summary

ATI is a proven leader in advanced materials with a global footprint. We are hiring a Utility Operator for the Steel Stores department to cut warehoused material to size, unload trucks, and prepare billets using carbide and Hem saws, Amada/Mazak cells, and related equipment.

This weekend days shift runs Friday through Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, the ability to pass an aptitude test, and familiarity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must take and pass aptitude test.
• Ability to utilize a tape measure.
• Overhead crane or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run production carbide saws.
• Operate Hem saws and future machining equipment as applicable.
• Run Amada/Mazak equipment and machining cells.
• Handle material, unload trucks, and complete paperwork.
• Operate new equipment as needed.

TheUtility Operator - Steel Stores is responsible for the cutting of warehoused material to size, including shop orders in our Steel Stores department, according to specifications. The use of all equipment, tools and devices to handle the material in the described process. Top include unloading of transport trucks, loading of saws, cutting of billets on all saws, and machining of mults.

The shift is Weekend Days 7AM-7PM Friday - Sunday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Any new employees entering the Department may be required to take and pass the aptitude test (i.e. Accuplacer)

• Utility Operator's must be able to perform all functions in the Department as assigned.

• Running production carbide saws

• Running production on Hem saws and future associated machining equipment if applicable

• Running production on Amada saws/Mazak machining cell

• Performing all material handling, truck unloading, paperwork, short-end activities

• Running any new equipment

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must take and pass aptitude test

• Ability to utilize a tape measure
