Job summary

The Gund Company in Noblesville, IN is seeking an Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position focuses on operating a punch press and a slitting machine, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met in a non-climate-controlled environment.

You will work 6am to 2:30pm (Mon-Fri), with overtime flexibility. Prior shop experience is welcome, but entry-level candidates with basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints may succeed in this

The Gund Company has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our team!

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm (M-F)

Hourly Wage: $20 - $24 per hour based on experience

Work location: Noblesville, IN

Machinery: Press Punch Machine & Slitter

Job Summary Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes operating various punch press production machinery, conducting manual assembly tasks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operator

• Operate a production punch press.
• Operate slitting machine.
• Inspect and document product measurements to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required.
• Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with stamping presses or slitters.

Work Environment Utility Operator I

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
