Job summary

Quality Talent Group's client is seeking a Utility Operator to support safe and efficient operation of loader, backhoe, skid steer, and utility systems at construction sites in Maryland. You’ll perform groundwork, monitor equipment, and assist with routine maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mechanical aptitude, ability to read technical manuals, strong communication, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating utility systems preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate loader, backhoe, and skid steer safely and efficiently.
• Perform groundwork and general labor tasks.
• Follow road construction best practices and maintain site awareness.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed.
• Monitor utility systems and adjust for efficiency.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Assist with additional duties as required.
