Job summary

Revlon Manufacturing & Distribution in Salem, Virginia, is seeking a Utility Line Lead to supervise and train assembly workers in the Salem Assembly department. You will ensure production and quality standards, cross-train staff, and quickly learn new equipment and SOPs.

This onsite, full-time role requires leadership, ability to stand 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to 5S and CGMP guidelines. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary; competitive pay and benefits apply.

  • Problem-solving skills; Must be able to fix errors on the line.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary (Extended Hours or Weekends).
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with label applicators, lot coding equipment, and carton taping machines
  • Operate equipment in accordance to Safety, Quality, CGMP and Standard Work guidelines
  • Ensure 5S standards are achieved for equipment and the line area
  • Take ownership of KPIs and process, drive improvement within, and coordinate activities within/across line teams
  • Knowledge of basic Lean principles and tools including 5S, Standard Work and AM Steps 1-3
  • Able to follow written processes appropriately

This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Salem, Virginia office.

Overview:

The Utility Line Lead will control and lead a team of assembly workers in the execution of work orders in the Salem Assembly department. This position will be responsible for the training of individuals, including temporary staff, and will cross-train in functions other than one’s primary role. The line lead will meet or exceed production standards while maintaining quality standards. This position is expected to stay updated on new products and processes and will quickly learn to operate new equipment and computer systems. The line lead will be responsible for equipment used in the packaging or customizing of products to meet customer requirements. The Line Lead will record production details per the SOP, adhere to and practice the 5S program in their work area to pursue World-Class excellence.

This position may require that the employee come in contact or use hazardous chemicals depending upon the department they are assigned. When this occurs, training as required under the Hazard Communication Standard will be provided.

Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

The base pay range for this position is $19.00 / hour; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.

  • Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled).

  • Employees are also able to enroll in our 401k Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
