Job summary

Quality Talent Group, on behalf of a leading building services client in the Maryland area, is seeking a skilled heavy equipment technician to support asphalt operations. This role involves operating and maintaining utility equipment and a fuel truck to service company assets.

The ideal candidate has a CDL Class B, at least 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel mechanics or related fields, strong diagnostic abilities, and a safety-first mindset. Competitive benefits and stability offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class B with required endorsements.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, diesel mechanics, utility operations, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and identify equipment issues quickly and accurately.
• Valid CDL required with the ability to safely operate a fuel truck as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utility equipment and vehicles supporting daily asphalt operations.
• Operate a fuel truck to safely transport and dispense fuel to company equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on heavy equipment used in asphalt operations.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with heavy equipment and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Monitor equipment condition and promptly report major mechanical issues or repair needs to supervisors.
