Job Overview

Sets up and operates a variety of machines throughout the shop. This is a utilitarian job title whereby the company can send the employee to any department in which they are needed. Contributes to flexibility of the workforce.

Position starts at $32.63 per hour and health benefits start day 1. Additional $1.10 per hour for off shifts.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Follow work procedure according to work center assigned.
2. Obeys all safety rules, wears proper PPE, and adheres to 6S standard.
3. Will operate at least 3 areas of the shop (i.e. lathe, miller, shaper, burring, hobbing, etc.).
4. Refer to Best Practices manual for further direction.
5. Perform all daily TPM activities as required.
6. Assist engineers and supervision to make improvements to parts, methods, fixturing and workplace organization for continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements

High School/GED.

Strong shop mathematics (trigonometry) aptitude and the ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, mics and other gauges).

Ability to run at least three areas such as CNC Lathe, Broach, Milling, Burring, Gear Hobbing, Gear Grinding, Gear Shaping, Straightening, etc.
