Job summary

McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the facility. The role requires attention to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The schedule is Wednesday–Friday 7am-3:30pm and Saturday–Sunday 8am–4pm, with on-site work and competitive benefits starting day one.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in the facility.
• Perform routine maintenance on utility systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair utility systems and equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for repairs and upgrades to utility systems.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor utility systems performance and identify areas for improvement or upgrades.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to operate and maintain various hand and power tools.
