Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Utility Manager to lead utility coordination for large hyperscale data center projects. You will identify conflicts, coordinate with utility owners, manage permits, and support relocations and protection measures across multiple sites.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, field teams, and regulatory agencies, ensuring safety and compliance while enabling project progress and minimizing disruption.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility coordination, utility construction, underground utilities, or related fields.
• Ability to work with utility owners, municipalities, permitting agencies, or service providers.
• Knowledge of utility plans, coordinates permits, reads engineering documentation, and ensures safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility coordination efforts throughout all phases of project execution.
• Identify, track, and mitigate utility conflicts that may impact construction activities.
• Coordinate with utility owners, municipalities, permitting agencies, engineers, and project teams.
• Support utility permitting, protection planning, and access requirements.
• Maintain visibility into existing utility infrastructure and project impacts.
• Promote safe excavation and construction practices around existing utilities.
