Gulfshoresal in Irving, Texas is seeking a maintenance technician for water and wastewater systems. You will provide leadership, technical and safety guidance to crew members and answer questions from the public and customers while assisting daily operations of the assigned section.
Required: High school diploma or GED, two years of relevant experience, a valid Class A CDL Texas license, and TCEQ Class C Water Distribution and Collection II Wastewater licenses or higher.
Duties include providing leadership, and technical and safety guidance, to crew members; answering questions and providing information to the public and internal and external customers; preparing a variety of reports; and participating in the daily operations of the assigned section. Dependent upon assignment, duties may include installing, testing, maintaining and repairing water or wastewater systems; operating Vactor, wash and rod trucks; assessing and troubleshooting sewer systems; working with GIS staff to upgrade maps; OR conducting restoration of excavation / repair sites; performing directional flushing; operating hydraulic valve, electric valve and GPS equipment; and testing and repairing 3” – 12” water meters. Duties may require entering confined spaces, manholes and lift stations; and dependent upon assignment, also ascending high towers and descending into vaults. A high school diploma or GED and two years of increasingly responsible experience performing water and wastewater maintenance (including equipment operation duties) required. Must have a valid Class A CDL Texas driver’s license and currently possess TCEQ-issued Class C Water Distribution and Collection II Wastewater licenses or higher.
