Job summary

The City of Pearland, TX is seeking a full-time Utility Maintenance Worker to perform manual tasks in constructing and repairing water distribution and wastewater facilities within the Utilities - Distribution and Collections Construction division.

Salary ranges from $18.86 to $20.41 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include dental, long-term disability and life insurance, TMRS with a 2:1 match, paid holidays and vacation, sick leave, wellness programs, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Class I Wastewater Certificate preferred or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water distribution and wastewater facilities.
• Assist construction projects in utility capacity as needed.
• Coordinate with team to ensure proper alignment and safety on site.
• Gather and organize materials and equipment for job execution.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and vehicles.
